Terms of Service

The agreement between you and POE2 Overlord. Plain language, and honest about what does and does not exist yet.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using POE2 Overlord (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account.

2. Not affiliated with Grinding Gear Games

POE2 Overlord is an independent fan project operated by POE2 Overlord. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Grinding Gear Games. Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2 are the property of Grinding Gear Games. Game data shown in the Service is derived from publicly available game client data and community sources.

3. Your account

One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your helper API keys secure, and for everything done through your account. A username is required and is publicly visible — see the Privacy Policy. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. The helper daemon

The helper is optional software you install voluntarily on hardware you control. By running it you accept that:

  • You are responsible for complying with Grinding Gear Games' own terms regarding third-party tools. We make no representation that running it is permitted under their rules.
  • It is provided as-is, with no warranty that it will detect every event or run on any particular system.
  • Event delivery is best-effort and lossy by design — events that fail to send are dropped rather than retried. Do not treat the Service as an authoritative record of your play.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape the Service or access it by automated bulk means outside the documented API
  • Abuse the ingest API, share API keys, or attempt to submit data for another account
  • Attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, row-level security, or the tier system
  • Publish content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or deliberately misleading
  • Disrupt the Service or the experience of other users

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the builds, walkthroughs, crafting recipes, and notes you create. By marking content public, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display it within the Service, and you accept that other users may view and clone it into their own accounts. Copies other users have made remain theirs.

We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law. We do not pre-screen user-submitted content, and community content is not vetted for accuracy.

7. Moderation and termination

We may deactivate or ban an account that breaches these terms. A suspended account is signed out of the app and cannot make changes through the website. Note that a helper daemon already running with a valid API key can continue submitting game events until that key is revoked or deleted — suspension does not by itself stop it. While your account is active you may delete it yourself from your Account page; deletion is permanent and cascades to the data you own, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Because a moderated account is blocked from making changes, that self-serve control is not available while you are deactivated or banned. You can still have the account deleted — email support@poeoverlord.com from the address on the account.

8. Plans and payment

The Service defines account tiers as an access-control concept. To be clear about the current state: paid plans are not yet available, no payment processing is enabled, and you cannot be charged. Accounts default to the free tier. An administrator may grant a higher tier manually (for testing, support, or complimentary access) — that is an entitlement we assign, not a purchase, and it never involves a payment or a charge to you.

If and when paid plans launch, the billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be published here before any charge is made, and you will not be billed without explicitly signing up.

9. Advertising

We may display advertising to free-tier accounts. No ad network is currently loaded; see the Cookie Policy for what would change if one is enabled.

10. Availability and disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data it records will be complete or accurate. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, POE2 Overlord is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or game progress, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify POE2 Overlord against claims arising from content you publish or from your breach of these terms or of applicable law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above will change. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not, delete your account.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Questions: support@poeoverlord.com.
